Ahead of Thursday’s NFL Draft, the Silver and Black Today team sours the Oakland Raiders 2018 schedule and gives their prediction for the season. Also, the team talks Raiders first round draft choices and who they like to be willing the Silver and Black on Thursday. Guest Scott Bair joined the show in the second hour.
It’s draft week in the NFL and the Silver and Black Today crew welcomed Scott Bair of NBC Sports Bay Area to help break down possible scenarios for the Oakland Raiders. In our first hour, the team runs through the just released 2018 Raiders schedule and gives you their take on where the Raiders will end up. One host had the Raiders at 8-8 and the other two at 10-6.
In the second hour, Raiders Insider Scott Bair was our guest. Bair too chimes in on the Raiders 2018 schedule and gives us his take on the draft. He also updated listeners on the Navarro Bowman negotiations and gave his view on why the Raiders will exercise the option on wide receiver Amari Cooper.
Bair also believed the Raiders could trade back into the early rounds using their variety of picks. With a salary cap issue over their heads, Bair also said the Raiders could move a big salary player – like Jared Cook – depending how the draft plays out. Bair isn’t saying sources are indicating this, but Cook’s salary is big and would save the Raiders about $5 Million in cap space.
The Silver and Black Today live show can be heard every Sunday from 8am-10am locally on CBS Sports Radio 1140-AM, and streamed worldwide on the Radio.com app. The app is available for both iPhone and Android and streamable on the web as well.
