The Silver and Black Today drone was back in the air this weekend to look at Allegiant Stadium progress.
Four-and-a-half months isn’t a long time but for the builders of the Las Vegas Raiders new home but as Allegiant Stadium progress continues, the team’s first true home is taking shape quickly.
Allegiant Stadium progress is continuing at a rapid pace as seen in our latest in-air footage. The Allegiant Stadium roof trusses are progressing quickly as the team prepares to install 7-yards of ETFE roof panels to enclose the domed stadium. The substantial completion date of July 31, 2020 has not moved and Allegiant Stadium progress both externally and internally is moving quickly.
The outer glass work on Allegiant Stadium is complete with just a few gaps open for construction purposes. The north end of the stadium – where it’s opening lanai doors are located – is covered in scaffolding (as seen in the video) to add exterior facade and other materials.
A visit to the site also shows more trees and landscaping already in place, more asphalt and concrete going in (including sidewalks). During our weekly visit the east end of the stadium, on Dean Martin Drive, was packed full of tourists pulling over to grab photos of the ominous and impressive structure.
